The pastoral communities in Kenya solely depend on livestock and livestock products for livelihood. This study sought to assess the potential of alternative sources of livelihood through case studies of three bio-enterprises established in Loima and Turkana west sub-counties in Turkana County. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method was employed to determine the particular needs of the communities and suitable bio-enterprise.
